I’m never aging past 12

So today Wall-E comes out!  Its actually somewhat embarassing how excited I am for this movie.  I’ve seen just about every Pixar film (i say film instead of movie because i’m pretentious) in theaters.  It made a lotta sense when Toy Story came out and I was 10 (i had to look up when that came out. HOLY SHIT! no idea it was 13 years old).  I can’t really justify seeing Cars in theaters, but whatever. So yeah, i’m stoked to see this movie (yes i just used stoked to describe a cartoon). Here’s the trailer in case you haven’t seen it (come out from under the rock)

Please Be Good, Please Be Good

I happen to love both Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.  I really hope guy Ritchie can come through with RocknRolla.  If the trailer down there is any indication, this movie is going to be fucking awesome.

Man I realllly hope that it is awesome.

Guess Who Directed This

Go ahead…guess.  Here’s a synopsis:

. . . The Longshots, starring Ice Cube, based on the heartwarming true story of the 11-year-old girl who quarterbacked her team to the Pop Warner tournament, the first girl ever to play in it.  Ice Cube plays the girl’s ne’er-do-well, former football player uncle who coaches her to success.

Write your answers down while you watch the trailer:

So what did you write?

Did you write FUCKING FRED DURST?  Cause that’s who is directing, DIRECTING, that movie.  What the fuck is going on with the world.

They Made A Movie Out Of This?

Posted in movies, trailers, videos on May 28, 2008 by pgleason85

Really.  He’s Just Not That Into You is a movie now?

Does that count as a Sex In the City spinoff?  Is that even really where it comes from?  I just don’t understand any of this.  Will this be  romantic comedy that serves to make women even more insecure?  Or is it going to be wrapped with a happy ending bow?  Why is Drew Barrymore in it.  And Scarlett Johansson jumps in a pool naked, and Zack from Wedding Crashers doesn’t immediately jump in?

Why are they basing a movie off of what wikipedia (always trustworthy) calls, “a self-improvement book?”  I am so lost here.  Someone please explain this madness to me!

I seem to be posting a lot of trailers these days.  I think its because I can’t afford to go to the movies so this is how i see them anymore.  Well today I saw a trailer for a movie I’d forgotten about but still really want to see filmjunk here is the trailer for Simon Pegg’s How To Lose Friends and Alienate People. Here’s what they say, ’cause they’re better writers:

How To Lose Friends and Alienate People is based on the true memoir of Toby Young, a British journalist who moved to New York to write for Vanity Fair, only to make a complete ass of himself along the way. Simon Pegg has been tapped to star in the film as “Sidney” Young (names have obviously been changed to protect the innocent), while Jeff Bridges looks absolutely spot on as Clayton Harding (ie. Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter). The movie also co-stars Kirsten Dunst, Gillian Anderson and Megan Fox, which sweetens the deal just a little bit more.

I’m pretty much going to see anything that Simon Pegg does until he dissapoints, and that hasn’t happened yet.  Plus that just looks really fucking funny.  I love situations when people are in over their head but don’t seem to realize it. Plus…Simon Pegg!!

Anywhoo, here is the trailer:
